It’s been a week. My book is on shelves and displays(!) in your favorite local indie bookstores, and it’s also any and everywhere you buy your books online — so…please buy it! 100% of any royalties I earn will go to abortion funds. Glamour named it one the 15 Best Nonfiction Books of 2023 (So Far), Vogue(?!?) published my conversation with the inimitable Emma Specter, Jezebel and Romper both ran excerpts, TIME published my essay about the giving and receiving of abortion gifts, beautiful genius Sara Petersen interviewed me for her newsletter, I spoke with HuffPost, and so many other wonderful outlets and writers I admire have covered the book, reading and reviewing and engaging with it so generously and kindly that I want to scream pretty much all the time. Please buy it! So I can Shut Up!
I’ve been struggling to answer questions around publication day (last Tuesday) and launch week, and the events a podcasts and interviews I’m doing. Well, I guess, specifically, I’ve been struggling to answer one question in particular: “How are you feeling?”
